How to prepare & what to do after a Brazilian wax?




What is a Brazilian Wax?

A Brazilian wax removes all (or most) hair from the front and back using high-quality hard wax. The service is performed with

professional technique, discretion, and care.


How long does it take?

Most first time appointments are 15–30 minutes, depending on hair growth and personal comfort.


Does it hurt?

Everyone’s pain tolerance is different. Most clients find it manageable with proper technique, quality wax, and a calm pace. Avoid watching videos or listening to horror stories beforehand, expectations can affect comfort.



How to Prep for Your Wax Appointment

Before your wax:

Exfoliate 24–48 hours before (not the day of) to prevent ingrowns and help wax grip hair better

Hair must be at least 1/4 inch long (about the length of a long grain of rice)

Avoid sun exposure or tanning 24 hours before

Avoid caffeine and alcohol on the day of your appointment

Come with clean skin,  no lotions, oils, deodorant, or self-tanner

Tell us about any medications or active skincare (e.g., retinol, Accutane)

Avoid workouts right before your appointment

If you’re on your period, it’s fine, just wear a tampon

Wear loose, comfortable clothing



Wax Aftercare – What to Do After Your Wax


For the first 24 hours:

No workouts, sweating, heat, or saunas

No sex (for Brazilian/bikini)

Avoid sun/tanning and hot baths

Wear loose, comfortable clothing and cotton underwear

Keep the area clean, dry, and avoid touching


After 48–72 hours:

Start gentle exfoliation

Apply ingrown serum or calming oil

Avoid products with fragrance

Moisturize daily


For best results:

Rebook every 4–6 weeks

Consistent waxing = less pain, finer hair, fewer ingrowns
